All AGS activities and events are open to visitors. We hope you'll come join us!

Meetings

We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month except December, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Meetings typically include time to get acquainted with other researchers, announcements and notification of upcoming activities. Meetings also feature a speaker on a genealogical topic.

Meetings are held at Highland Park Baptist Church, 5206 Balcones Dr, Austin, 78731.

Mini-Seminar Series

This year, AGS is bringing in three prominent genealogists to give mini-seminars throughout the year. The fee for each of these sessions is a bargain at $10 for AGS members, and $15 for non-members.

Laptop Saturdays

Several times throughout the year, AGS hosts workshops on technology topics on Saturdays. These sessions are free and open to the public.

Classes

AGS offers classes for Beginning Genealogists twice a year, in the spring and fall.

Research Trips

Join AGS for research trips to major genealogical libraries.

Travis County Cemetery Project

The Austin Genealogical Society began a project in 1999 to identify all Travis County cemeteries and headstones within each cemetery. Please help us with our cemetery project!
