All AGS activities and events are open to visitors.

We hope you’ll come join us!

We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month except December, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Meetings typically include time to get acquainted with other researchers, announcements and notification of upcoming activities. Meetings also feature a speaker on a genealogical topic.

Meetings are held at Highland Park Baptist Church, 5206 Balcones Dr, Austin, 78731.

You need to obtain this book, as it will be our study guide this year. We will discuss each chapter of the book and will begin with the first chapter on March 7th. Randy Whited will lead the discussion and answer questions.

    • Visual Phasing – You’ve tested three siblings, now figure out which DNA segments belong to which grandparent.
    • Advanced Third-Party Tools – Let’s explore the Phasing, Matching Segment Search, Lazarus, and Triangulation tools.

Hotel Information:
The Commons Learning Center is located at the J. J. Pickle Research Campus at the University of Texas at Austin. The J. J. Pickle Research Campus is across the street from the Domain and near the Arboretum. Some nearby hotels offer shuttle service to the Commons Learning Center. May is a busy month in Austin with many out of town visitors attending events. If you plan to attend and need a hotel room, book early.
