We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month except December, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Meetings typically include time to get acquainted with other researchers, announcements and notification of upcoming activities. Meetings also feature a speaker on a genealogical topic.
Meetings are held at Highland Park Baptist Church, 5206 Balcones Dr, Austin, 78731.
AGS is pleased to announce that in 2016 we will once again sponsor a research trip to Salt Lake City. If you’ve been on these trips you know how much fun they are, and if it’s your first time, you can look forward to not only to amazing research, but also to making new friends and enjoying a wonderful city with lots of neat places to dine when you aren’t at the Family History Library. Our hotel is conveniently located next door to the library. The hotel transports us to and from the airport. We will once again have a hospitality room so we can visit and share research stories.
AGS Salt Lake City Research Trip
April 17 – April 24, 2016
Price per person: $660 single occupancy, $355 double occupancy
7 night accommodation at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel
Round trip transportation (includes gratuity) from airport to hotel

Pizza social on arrival night
6 full days of research
Fun and research with fellow AGS members
Does not include airfare or meals other than the first night pizza social.
Balance will be due by March 1, 2016. No refunds after March 15, 2016.

Genealogy Road Trip!
Join your fellow genealogists from Williamson County Genealogical Society, Austin Genealogical Society and Sun City Genealogy SIG on an adventure to the famous Clayton Library, Center for Genealogical Research.
This is a wonderful opportunity to network with old and new friends as we journey to Houston via a bus….leave the driving to us!! You can do lots of research and then share what you found on the trip home. It makes for a long and yet very fun day.
