AGS DNA Special Interest Group @ North Village Branch Library - Austin Public Library | Austin | Texas | United States

Topic(s): Isolation and Triangulation Techniques. We will look at the tools on GedMatch for comparing multiple kits, finding matches common to two kits and creating triangulation groups. We will also look at tools such FTDNA’s new phasing tools, the AncestryDNA plugin for the Chrome browser and maybe the tools from dnagedcom.com.

The purpose of the DNA Special Interest Group is to help participants learn how to use DNA tests for genealogical purposes, share strategies and tools for understanding their results, and how to incorporate genetic genealogy with traditional genealogical research.
