November Fall Festival
November 26, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
It’s Time For AGS’s Fall Festival
Meet us there for good food and a wonderful presentation.
Please join your AGS friends at our annual Fall Festival, our very own pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving, This year it will be on Nov. 26th (in place of our regularly scheduled meeting). Bring a plus-one, if you like, and a dish to share . . . either a side dish, a salad, or a dessert.
Our speaker, long-time AGS-er Jim Bridges will introduce us to his seventh great grandfather, Colonel Joseph Bridger, a Royalist in the English Civil War and an early settler near colonial Jamestown, Virginia. Jim will talk about recent archaeological work at what once was Colonel Bridger’s plantation and the early colonial discoveries made there. Also, Jim has coerced a few of us into making food contributions using recipes of that period. You might — or might not — want to taste them. Anyone for Devonshire White Pot?
To register yourself and your plus-one, email email@example.com. And let us know what kind of dish you’ll bring. Registration is important so we’ll know how much barbecue to get. We wouldn’t want anyone to go hungry. Or have to eat just dessert.
