The July Fourth Saturday Class is for AGS members only. It is co-sponsored by The Austin Genealogical Society (AGS) and Austin Groups for the Elderly (AGE).

Visual Phasing – Mapping your DNA to your Grandparents.

Visual Phasing is a technique that uses the DNA of a set of siblings to assign different chromosome segments to their four grandparents without having tested either the parents or grandparents. The class will use a spreadsheet tool developed by Steven Fox to identify recombination points and assign specific DNA segments to one of the four grandparents. Instruction will include an overview of genetic genealogy concepts and hands-on exercises. This is an intermediate to advanced topic.

The AGS Fourth Saturday Class with Teresa Devine will show you Visual Phasing – Mapping your DNA to your Grandparents.

These two and ½ hours can change your genealogical life for the better.

Class fee is $10.00. This is a computer lab. Seating capacity is 10. Pre-register below and click submit pay the class fee with PayPal.
